This was our little taste of fame. Or rather being close to fame. We walked down to Sunnylane to see the parade with our neighbors today and got the pleasant surprise of seeing some local politicans running for Senate. Our favorite was Del City's own Kevin Calvey. Not because he is from Del City, but because he is a really neat guy. Asher knows him from various things, and we have kept up with what he has been doing in the state senate. He has just recently authored a bill to get tax credits for homeschoolers. He has also recently authored a bill on informed consent for abortion and a bill for "Religous Release" time from schools. He is also a fan of small goverment. I didn't mean this to be a plug for Kevin Calvey, we just like him.

The girls got so much candy. They were able to grab more candy than they got at the last Easter and Halloween combined. Too bad Mommy and Daddy will have to eat it all for them. Candy is not good for children, you know.

You may want to try to do some volunteering. Sometimes they have things you can do from home (stuffing envelopes and such). After all, we all have such a copious amount of free time, right? We'll have to set the bon-bons down and miss a soap or two...

lol

Volunteer~

As a Grassroots driven campaign, volunteers are essential to everyday operation. If you would like to volunteer, there are opportunities everyday to help. We will be open 9am - 9pm starting Monday March 20th. Please come by if you have an hour or so to spare. Our headquarters are located at 2211 N Classen Blvd - Oklahoma City. We are just south of the NW 23rd and Classen intersection on the west side of the road.

If you would like to sign up to volunteer for events and special projects, please contact Toni Kennard at Toni@KevinCalvey.com

At Calvey for Congress - there is always a volunteer project going on, so please help if you can!

Thank you for your interest!

Thank you for the info. I am not sure if I could volunteer at the office, but if I could do it at home, I would just love that.
